New information about Microsoft's upcoming wireless media player is flying all around the web today. We have decided to jump on the bandwagon and give you our take on this new addition to the media player market. While there is no confirmed name for the device the consensus seems to be that it will be called Zune, personally I prefer Xpod!
Word is the device (Xpod?!) will have built in wi-fi and a larger screen than Apple's video Ipod. We have also heard that Microsoft plans to let owners replace their iTunes song catalog for free from its own music service. As usual Microsoft will be playing hardball in an attempt to get a foothold in a new market. Will it work? Who knows.
There are no spefic details about the device (such as size, weight, or storage capacity) but I am sure all that information will be leaked in good time. As we find out more we'll let you know.
